Come visit Santa at CFUMC! Santa will greet families outside near the preschool portico, and Kristin Boyer will be onsite to take photos. A digital photo will be provided to you after the event if you provide a signed copy of the attached waiver at the event. (Please bring signed copies with you. There will be a few on hand for those who forget them.) Or you are welcome to take your own photos.
There is no cost to attend or for the digital photo. A suggested donation of $10 is greatly appreciated. In the event of severe weather (or updated laws/regulations prohibiting a gathering of this size), the event will be canceled and all attendees will be notified via email.
You can share in the Christmas Spirit by bringing coats and gloves for students in need at Huntley Hills Elementary. Click this link to see what items have been requested and to sign up. Coats and gloves can be dropped off during your visit with Santa:
CFUMC’s plan to reduce exposure to Covid-19:
Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes prior to your assigned time. Santa’s elves will be onsite to direct you to parking and to direct you to Santa.
Social distancing will be maintained. All volunteers will be wearing masks, and all persons age 2 and older will be expected to wear a mask covering both the mouth and nose while waiting for Santa and while talking to Santa. You may remove your mask when the photo is being taken if you choose.
Children/families will not sit on Santa’s lap. You will be spaced apart from Santa and will sit on a separate bench. But bring your letter to Santa and drop it in his mailbox. (Note, there will not be a letter writing station.)
Please do not come to this event if you or anyone in your party is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms (e.g., fever, cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, chills, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, or muscle aches) or if you or anyone in your party has tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
Please understand that Covid-19 is a highly communicable disease. By attending this event, you assume all risks in attending this event. Despite CFUMC’s efforts, you and your family/guests might be exposed to the Covid-19 virus and such exposure might result in illness, permanent disability and/or death.
