1826: Prospect Methodist Church was founded. (We had no building, so we worshiped with the Presbyterians.)

1847: A new building was constructed on Peachtree Road.

1867: Membership was 563.

1895: Six acres of land was purchased on Peachtree Road for $245.

1926: 100th Anniversary

1940: Prospect became a church with a full-time minister.

1961: Prospect became First Methodist Church of Chamblee with 972 members.

1963: Church voted to move to Chamblee Dunwoody Rd.

1976: The church was 150 years old and paid off its mortgage.

1980: The new sanctuary was opened.

2010: Restore I began, and the existing facilities were renovated.

2016: We broke ground on Restore II. The project renovated the sanctuary and added a music suite, youth room, narthex, portico, and parking lot. And we prayed for the future.

2017: We opened our new building!
