What to Expect on a Sunday
When you arrive:
If your child will be participating in Children’s Ministry Programming (Kid’s Church or Sunday School), please check them in prior to the worship service. We have a check in station in the atrium and a floating volunteer to help check you in and register visitors. Be sure to pick up your Family Code Sticker in the atrium before finding your seat for the worship service. For visitors: Please let one of our greeters know that you are visiting for the first time. They will point you in the right direction!
Our nursery (available for children infant through preschool) has their own check in in room 100.
During the Worship Service (10am):
At Chamblee UMC, we value and prioritize our children being active and engaged in worship with our entire church family. We ask that families with children Kindergarten-5th grade participate in the first portion of our worship service together. Following our offertory, children K-5th are dismissed for Kid’s Church.
Nursery will be available for infant through preschool during the service. In addition to having the nursery, we also have a soothing room located at the back of the sanctuary in the Narthex with a livestream of the service.
Kid’s Church (10:20ish-11:00ish):
After children are dismissed from the service, children K-5th head up to room 223 for a special time just for them!
Sunday School (11:00ish-Noon):
If they are staying for Sunday School, they can stay from kid’s church through the SS hour. If not, parents should pick up following the 10am service in room 223. After SS, ALL KIDS need to be picked up by a parent. K-2 will be in room 223, and 3-5 will be in room 214.
Save the date and join us for the 2023 Fall Festival on September 30th from 1pm-4pm! We will have inflatables, crafts, and FUN for all ages! We can’t wait to see you there!
