Chamblee First transforms the world by being the hands and feet of Jesus.
Not attending but want to support?
1) Offer a monetary gift to help fund onsite construction materials, procure and distribute food, and facilitate bible school for El Salvadorian children.
2) Write personal notes of support to each team member, i.e. words of encouragement, prayer, scripture, that will be bundled and presented to each traveler over the course of the week. For letter writing instructions and names of recipients, click here.
Proceeds from the BBB Festival will be used toward repair work on veterans’ homes throughout Dekalb County. As part of this day-long event, a team from Chamblee First UMC will be building a playhouse to be placed at a location of our choosing here in Chamblee.
We need as many as 10 people on the team to assemble and decorate the playhouse on April 27. There is no age limit, but keep in mind that team members should be capable of using tools and paint as we construct our playhouse.
As sponsors of the festival, Chamblee First also has the option of staffing a booth from which we can minister to the community, share info about our church, and answer any questions. We need at least (8) volunteers willing to serve a two-hour shift.

All attendees of the “Bluejeans, BBQ, and Blueprints Festival” will be asked to vote for the “People’s Choice” best playhouse. So it would be to our benefit for MANY folks from Chamblee First to attend the free street festival! There will be food available for purchase from a variety of food vendors, along with a day-long lineup of family-friendly entertainment. Admission to the festival is free but tickets are required.
