Missions

Chamblee First UMC will be sending a team of volunteers to serve the town of Ahuachapan, El Salvador, February 14-21, 2026. The team is always so blessed in their service to the local villagers in Ahuachapan.

Ways you can support our work there:
1) MONETARY GIFTS: Financial aid to help fund onsite construction materials, procure and distribute food, and facilitate bible school for El Salvadorian children.
2) SPECIFIC DONATIONS: We need a few old, large suitcases to transport supplies — used luggage that can be left behind. Additionally, the Methodist School is seeking band new or used instruments (trumpets, saxophones, etc.) for their music department / school band.
3) LETTERS FOR OUR DELEGATION: Write personal notes of support to each team member, i.e. words of encouragement, prayer, scripture, that will be bundled and presented to each traveler over the course of the week. For letter writing instructions and names of recipients, click here.

Throughout the year, we often have the opportunity to pack emergency response kits and buckets that will be used in to help those whose property has been severely damaged. Keep an eye out on our happenings page for upcoming packing events.  

Each year we partner with other ministry organizations to provide gifts for children in need. For the past few years we have worked with our local schools, Chamblee Police Department, as well as Murphy Harpst Children’s Home to help serve our neighbors in need.

Our church partners with several local organizations dedicated to addressing food insecurity in Metro Atlanta. We provide financial assistance and donated goods throughout the year. Learn more about Suthers Center and Malachi’s Storehouse Suthers Malachi’s.
