My Lenten promise is to have a journey through Lent to develop a habit of generosity. I believe that what the world needs now is a bold generosity from all of us.
The work of your heart, the work of taking time to listen, to help, is also your gift to the whole of the world. If you can’t take someone to lunch, make them cookies, if you can’t drive to see them, pick up the phone and call them, if you can’t phone, write a letter and if you can’t do any of these, simply pray for one another. The world needs us to be generous to each other in person, resource and spirit.
Have a great Lent and remember to look for ways to share your generosity.
