Have you noticed that our world is more connected? As the world grows more connected and our neighbors are closer than ever, we need to ask: Who is my neighbor? Or better yet, What kind of neighbor do you want me to be, God, and how do I display God’s love to them?
The focus of Jesus’ time, energy, and teaching seemed to revolve around answering those two questions.
People who looked nothing like Jesus, liked Jesus. Can the same be said of his followers? When people encounter the Church, do they encounter Jesus? When people think about us (his followers), what does it tell our neighbors about Jesus? You might not share a fence, but you can still share their burdens and joys. The message of Jesus is more relevant now than ever before because what Jesus is teaching us is How to Neighbor. Join us for this series on BLESSing our neighbors.
As a follow up to the weekly message, take a moment each day to Grow | Pray | Study. If you missed a service, an archive of Rev. Chung’s weekly messages is available here.
