Keep up with all the devotions

One of my favorite songs is “Anyway” by Martina McBride. It’s a song that inspires me. Read the lyrics; better yet, pull up the song and listen.

It’s a song that inspires us to have faith, even when things aren’t the best. To keep believing, keep going, keep trusting, keep loving, and keep fighting no matter what setback happens. The one lyric that says “it doesn’t always turn out like I think it should” tells us that God has a plan. It may not be what we want at the time, but his plan will be shown to us.

I am one that tries to find the best in any situation even when it’s really hard to do. Some of those tough times in my life have been: my twin sister moving hundreds of miles away in our late thirties when we had never had lived more than a couple miles apart, family sickness, divorce, and death.

We must have faith that there is a reason for everything. There is good in everything. If we trust in God we will get through the lowest of times.

Do it anyway…..

Lyrics

You can spend your whole life building
Something from nothin’
One storm can come and blow it all away
Build it anyway
You can chase a dream
That seems so out of reach
And you know it might not never come your way
Dream it anyway

CHORUS:
God is great
But sometimes life ain’t good
And when I pray
It doesn’t always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway
I do it anyway

This world’s gone crazy
It’s hard to believe
That tomorrow will be better than today
Believe it anyway
You can love someone with all your heart
For all the right reasons
In a moment they can choose to walk away
Love ’em anyway

CHORUS

You can pour your soul out singing
A song you believe in
That tomorrow they’ll forget you ever sang
Sing it anyway
Yeah, sing it anyway

I sing
I dream
I love
Anyway
