Keep up with all the devotions

My sister Justine’s death elevated my faith and walk with Christ to levels I had never imagined. Upon learning of my sister’s illness, I prayed that God would grant me the opportunity to travel to Uganda in time to be present to help take care of her. It was a miracle for me to have traveled, spent quality time, and eaten our last meal together before her passing. How can one see God and thrive in heavenly peace in the event of losing a loved one?

I’m reminded of the passage in the book of Ecclesiastes 3:20, “All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.”

I now know that all creations made in God’s image will return to their maker one day.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, grant us divine peace in our hearts to accept your purpose upon our lives and that of our loved ones. Remind us of our limited life here on earth and give us the grace to focus our eyes on life in eternity. Amen.
